I live in San Diego, California, near the U.S.-Mexico border and I'm very interested in stopping illegal immigration. I am active in community improvement and I am a member of the Border Solution Task Force, whose objective is to stop illegal immigration and drugs coming across our border with Mexico. If you are interested in this subject, I'd like to interest you in joining with us in Washington D.C. during IMMIGRATION REFORM AWARENESS WEEK JUNE 10-13TH. We will be joing with over 100 immigration reform groups from all across the U.S. under the banner of THE NATIONAL GRASSROOTS ALLIANCE. Our purpose is to lobby our congressional representatives to create immigration-reform legislation, like HR73, "The Citizenship Reform Act of 1999" authored by Rep. Brian Bilbray. This legislation would eliminate the granting of automatic citizenship to children born in the U.S. of illegal alien parents. Another bill we are interested in is HR41, "The Immigration Moritoriun," authored by Rep. Bob Stump (R-AZ). This bill would reduce the number of legal immigrants allowed into the U.S. to a maximum of 250,000 annually, a reduction of approximately 750,000 from the present rate.
